The All Out Art Program is an in-person, 8-week, arts-based therapeutic program for 2SLGBTQIA+ and neuroqueer youth ages 13+. The program has a diverse range of 2SLGBTQIA+ community artists teaching each week to give youth the chance to explore and experiment with different mediums. The lessons and pieces each week will focus on self-expression, storytelling, and social justice, and the youth will be supported by social workers to help build self-confidence, social skills, and friendships and support any needs that may arise throughout the group. The program will culminate in a shared project or community art show.
The goals of the All Out Art Program include the following:
-
Opportunity to learn and explore a variety of art mediums
-
The chance to work with queer, trans, activist focused and neurodivergent local community artists
-
Providing a space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth that is focused on art, creativity, imagination, and expression.
-
Using art to express the words and stories that can feel unsafe, uncomfortable, scary, or heavy.
-
Building community and friendships
